Export Counseling: Seven Enterprise Florida Trade Offices throughout the state provide export counseling and advice to Florida manufacturers, export intermediaries, and services companies. Our international marketing professionals evaluate the market readiness of current and potential exporters and can help select target markets for a company’s particular products and services, as well as baseline legal, tax, and logistics requirements. Overseas Trade Missions & Exhibitions: Enterprise Florida maintains an extensive schedule of overseas trade missions and exhibitions worldwide. Export Sales Missions are professionally planned and feature one-on-one appointments with potential business partners overseas. Companies can showcase their products at a number of leading global exhibitions that focus on high-tech industries such as Aviation/Aerospace, Information and Communications Technology, and Life Sciences. Lower-cost catalog shows are also offered, particularly in selected Asian markets. Team Florida Missions: These high-level, high-visibility trade and investment development initiatives are led by the Governor of the State and are a part of an aggressive global recruitment and trade development strategy. Team Florida Missions bring Florida business, government, and economic development leaders together with high-level contacts in target markets to promote the Florida “brand” and conduct one-on-one business appointments with local companies with the purpose to enter or expand in that particular market.
Qualified International Trade Leads: Florida manufacturers, distributors, exporters, and professional services providers can connect with companies from around the world through our Electronic Trade Leads Network. Through a variety of marketing activities, Enterprise Florida identifies and qualifies foreign companies interested in sourcing goods and services, creating export opportunities for Florida companies. Special Trade Enhancement Programs: Enterprise Florida has developed a small, but growing, cadre of special trade enhancement programs in selected markets to maximize exposure for Florida companies. They currently include the African Trade Expansion Program (ATEP) to promote two-way trade between Florida and the African continent; the Florida/Japan Trade Initiative and the Florida/Mexico Trade Initiative. Utilizing our International Offices in these countries, each program offers unique resources to facilitate your entry and expansion into these markets.
Export Finance: Our offices can guide qualified Florida exporters to local, state, and federal sources that can help finance export transactions, such as the Florida Export Finance Corporation (FEFC), which provides export transaction financing for small and medium-sized Florida companies who have difficulty obtaining financial assistance from conventional lending institutions.
Florida Trade Partners Alliance (FTPA): The only one of its kind in the country, this statewide strategic alliance of trade and economic development partners provides a network of programs and services to Florida exporters. The FTPA currently comprises 22 organizations including the World Trade Centers Association of Florida, the Florida District Export Council, and the Florida Small Business Development Center Network.
Florida Services Network: The Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce, in cooperation with Enterprise Florida, has created an innovative online business center dedicated exclusively to facilitating commercial ties between Florida’s service firms and companies worldwide. The Florida Services Network provides a database/search engine with direct access and online business referrals to thousands of Florida and international service companies, as well as information on Florida and foreign markets and events information.
